Year IV
In the final year of ACCP, students are provided with two options – they may opt to do the Networking stream (with MCSE 2003) or the Oracle Developer (with Oracle 10g and Forms 10g) stream.
Who will the course benefit?
Depending on the elective chosen, students can either become specialists in network specialisation or web application development using Oracle.
Networking Specialization
What skills will the student gain?
The Networking specialization is built around the MCSE certification (on Windows Server 2003).
Learning Outcomes:
- • Implement and Administer Windows 2000 Professional
- • Implement and Administer Windows Server 2003
- • Design, plan, implement, manage and maintain a Windows Server 2003 Network infrastructure, and Directory Services Infrastructure
- • Design Network Security.
Software Development Specialization
What skills will the student gain?
The second option in Year IV comprises of the Web Application Development specialization with Oracle 9i & Forms 9i. Since students are already aware of databases and database related concepts, this topic will have a gradual learning curve.
Learning Outcomes:
- • Develop client/server as well as web applications using Oracle 9i and Forms 9i
- • Build applications to access an Oracle database on any Java-compatible platform
- • Create formatted reports
